Serving Stamford and the English Speaking World (German voice overs too!)

An upbeat first draft for the Equilibrium beauty salon in Stamford. Done in After Effects, Reaper and GIMP. Music by Kevin MacLeod ("Disco Lounge") under a CC3 license. Shot with a Canon 550D/T2i at 1080p 25fps

This is the final version, much more laid back, and the footage has been edited differently, with quite a bit cut from the version above. 1080p 25fps, H264 2-pass encoding into a .mp4 file. The music is again by Kevin Macleod, "Windswept". In this vsersion there are no candles in the intro graphics, and the footage has been colour graded at 16-bits. More videos, different edits basically, are on the salon website Equilibrium

A new piano showroom opened in 2010 stocking upright and grand acoustics, plus digital pianos.

This video features piano music written and performed by David Hollands, the owner of Stamford Music Shop.

The main backing track is "Porch Swing Days" by Kevin MacLeod at http://incompetech.com/ (under a Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 license).
The opening jingle, also by Kevin Macleod is "Light Sting".

The video was filmed with a Canon 550D at 1080p 25fps. Post was a mixture of After Effects, GIMP, PremierĀ  and Reaper. Compressed for YouTube using the H264 codec with two passes.

This is an example of an aminated infomercial as a concept proposal for Local Living Ltd., Stamford.

The background music is "Deliberate Thought" by Kevin MacLeod at http://incompetech.com/ under a Creative Commons 3 License. Blender 2.53 was used for the 3D animations. The magazine page flipping animations were sequenced in After Effects using screen shots from the Local Living website magazine archive (which, by the way, is excellent).

The voice over and post processing were done with Reaper. The whole thing was put together in After Effects (using the Video Copilot "Optical Flares" plugin to spice up the opening titles). This project took about 2 days to produce.

Below is another concept idea utilizing 3D layers in After Effects. No voice over this time (would be added later), but the same background music as the example above.

A possible intro sequence for a beauty salon, before the main feature starts. Based on a tutorial by Eran Stern at Creative COW. Done in After Effects with some pre-processing in GIMP.
